Driving Directions to MCF-Togo from Duluth:

Take Hwy #53 north through Virginia.  Continue to travel north along Hwy #53 for approximately 20 additional miles until you reach the intersection of Hwy #53 and Hwy #22.  Turn left (west) on Hwy #22.  Travel along Hwy #22 until it ends (approx. 20 miles).  Turn left (south) on Hwy #65.  Travel 2 miles (past the Bearville Cemetery) and you will see a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your right.  Turn right on Co. Rd. #551.  Travel 3 miles.  Thistledew Camp’s driveway is located on the left.

Driving Directions to MCF-Togo from Bemidji:

Take Hwy #71 north from Bemidji.  Take Hwy #1 east through Northome.   Continue traveling on # 1 through Effie and watch for mile marker #208.  Immediately after that mile marker, you will see a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your right.  Turn right onto a gravel road.  At the first intersection on the gravel road, turn to your left.  At the point where the gravel road becomes pavement, the Camp driveway turns to your right.

Driving Directions to MCF-Togo from Ely:

Travel southwest along #169/1 (through Tower).  Turn right (west) at the “Y-Store” (this is Hwy #1) to Hwy #53.  Continue traveling straight ahead after your stop at Hwy #53 (the road number will now change to #22).  Continue along Hwy #22 until this highway ends (approx. 20 miles).  Turn left (south) on Hwy #65 and travel 2 miles.  After the Bearville Cemetery, watch for a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your right.  Turn right on Co. Rd. #551 and travel 3 miles.  Thistledew Camp’s driveway is located on the left.  Traveling time is approximately 1 1/2 hrs. 

Driving Directions to MCF-Togo from Hibbing:

Travel west along Hwy #169 until you reach Nashwauk.  Take #65 north from Nashwauk and travel approx. 30 miles.   Immediately after mile marker 203, you will see a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your left.  Turn left there on #551 and travel 3 miles.  At that point, you will be at the end of the Camp’s driveway.  Turn left and travel down the driveway to the parking lot where you will find the office building.

Driving Directions to MCF-Togo from Virginia:

Take Hwy #53 north from Virginia and travel approx. 20 miles until you reach the intersection of Hwy #53 and Hwy #22.  Turn left (west) on Hwy #22.  Travel along #22 until it  ends (approx. 20 miles).  Turn left on #65 and travel 2 miles (past the Bearville Cemetery) until you see the green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your right.  Turn right on #551.  Then travel 3 miles.  The Camp driveway turns to your left.  

Driving Directions to Mcf-Togo from Cloquet:

Take Hwy #33 north to Hwy #53.  Then travel north on Hwy #53 through Virginia.  Continue traveling north on Hwy #53 for approximately 20 additional miles until you reach the junction of Hwy #53 and Hwy #22.  Turn left (west) on Hwy #22.  Travel along Hwy #22 until it ends (approx. 20 miles).  Turn left (south) on Hwy #65 and travel 2 miles (past Bearville Cemetery) until you see a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” that points to your right.  Turn right on Co. Rd. #551.  Travel 3 miles.  Thistledew Camp’s driveway is located on the left.

Alternate Route from Cloquet:

Travel Hwy #53 north until you reach the exit for Hwy #37.  Travel west along #37/#169.  Continue traveling west on #169 until you reach Nashwauk.  Then take Hwy #65 north from Nashwauk approx. 30 miles until you reach mile marker #203.   Immediately after mile marker #203, you will see a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your left.  Turn left onto Co. Rd. 551 and travel 3 miles.  Thistledew Camp’s driveway is located on the left at the point where the pavement turns to gravel.  If you are driving on a gravel road, you have gone too far!

Driving Directions to MCF-Togo from Mpls/St. Paul:

  Follow Hwy #65 north.  When you reach the town of Nashwauk, continue north along Hwy #65 for ap proximately 30 additional miles.  Watch for mile marker #203 and a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your left.  Turn left on Co. Rd. #551 and travel 3 miles.  Thistledew Camp’s driveway is located on the left.   (The Camp driveway turns left just before the pavement ends. If the road becomes gravel, you have gone too far.)

Alternate Route from Mpls/St. Paul:

  Take Interstate 35W north to Cloquet exit (Hwy #33).  Continue traveling along Hwy #33 to Hwy #53.  Then follow Hwy #53 north through Virginia and travel approx. 20 additional miles until you reach the junction of Hwy #53 and Hwy #22.  Turn left (west) on Hwy #22.  Travel along Hwy #22 until it ends (approx. 20 miles).  Turn left (south) on Hwy #65 and travel 2 miles (past Bearville Cemetery) until you see a green highway sign that says “Thistledew Camp” and points to your right.  Turn right on Co. Rd. #551.  Travel 3 miles.  Thistledew Camp’s driveway is located on the left.
